Announcement 29 June 2010

Please be advised that I am out of the country in the US from Fri 2nd July until Tue 20th. I can still be contacted on my mobile 07751 257666 during this time to take enquiries, but please remember the 6 hour time difference.

Also I will still be able to receive and reply to any emails during this period and I can make arrangements to supply goods AOG if urgent, but this may incur high shipment costs.

During this US visit I will be visiting and having meetings with True Flight Aerospace, the type certificate holder for the AA1/5 series aircraft who hope to restart production of the AG5B Tiger, and Fletchair who make and supply many parts for these aircraft. So if you have any technical questions you would like to put to these companies please let me know and I’ll do my best to get some answers for you.

Are you still incurring costs involved with carrying out the 100hr repetitive inspection of your ailerons in accordance with AD 79-22-04?

If so, and your plane passes this one-time Alternate Means of Compliance as per Service Instruction SI 06-01 it will eliminate the 100 hour inspections mandated by the AD.

If not wishing or unable to make the template required to carry out the inspection MatAir has one available for hire, free of charge, excluding postage, to existing/new customers.
